Profile Racing Inc. was founded in 1968 by Jim Alley in New Jersey, USA. In its early days, it was a Rallye racing chassis modification and repair shop. It was not until 1978 when Jim 's children participated in their first BMX Racing competition that the whole family became fascinated with the sport, which also opened a new chapter for Profile to enter the bicycle industry. In 1979, Profile successfully developed a 3-stage 48-thread chrome-molybdenum steel crankset, which set clear specifications for modern BMX cranks and is still widely used among various brands. In the 1980s, Profile continued to expand its production scale. While all brands were looking for overseas OEMs, Profile remained committed to the United States. Most of its products are still 100% made in the United States. With more than 50 years of industrial manufacturing experience, it continues to innovate and improve its production equipment. It has become a leader among the world's high-end BMX hub and crank manufacturers! Its products can be said to be the most representative and original American brand since the birth of BMX!
