With the popularity of tricks in recent years, the crank arm slide, pedal grind, bottom bracket slide and other tricks have become the practice goals of more riders pursuing unique styles. However, the bottom bracket of modern BMX frames is not designed to wear out, so this type of action often causes the bottom bracket to dent. In serious cases, it may damage the end face of the bottom bracket and make it impossible to replace the bearing.

After much anticipation, the British BB Buddy (translation: BB good friend) was born! BB Buddy is used to replace the existing non-drive-side bottom bracket cover. It is specially designed to resist wear and tear, which can greatly enhance the protection of the frame!

The design concept adopts a slightly larger outer diameter than the existing frame bottom bracket. The material is made of fully CNC heat-treated 4140 CR-MO chrome-molybdenum steel and is hand-processed by British rider Bomber. BB Buddy directly contacts the pole or platform when sliding to increase stability when balancing, perfectly protecting the frame bottom bracket from any scratches and damage. It is called the fifth Peg in the car!!

- Assembly Instructions:

Please remove the original non-drive side bottom bracket cover and make sure there are no burrs on the bottom bracket side of the frame. If there are burrs, please grind them flat before replacing them with the bottom bracket cover. Make sure there is no friction or interference between the bottom bracket cover and the frame. Put the crank arm back and lock it. Make sure that the crank arm will not rub or interfere with the rear chainstay when it rotates. The assembly is complete.

* If there are obvious scratches and burrs on the side of the bottom bracket and they interfere with the bottom bracket cover, it may cause the crank arm to rotate unsmoothly. If the problem cannot be eliminated, please contact STASH BMX

"Whilst grinding on the BB shell of your frame is cool as shit, they're not designed for grinding. The BB Buddy is a replacement non-drive bottom bracket spacer made for abuse and will give your frame some added protection.

Sitting at a slightly bigger diameter than your bottom bracket shell and made out of post heat treated 4140 (the same stuff as a decent metal peg); this glorified washer will slide kewl guy grinds faster and lock in Derek Dusters better, ensuring your BB bearings won't melt to dust.
