[MERRITT Option "SLIDEWALL" 2.35” Kevlar lightweight foldable tire]

Bicycle tires can be divided into wire beads (steel yarn) used in traditional tires or Kevlar beads (Kevlar fiber yarn) used in foldable tires. Kevlar fiber is a new synthetic fiber launched by DuPont in the United States in 1965. Its heat-resistant, tensile-resistant and wear-resistant properties are widely used in US military bulletproof helmets and bulletproof vests. Its strength is five times that of steel of the same quality. It can be seen from this that under the same strength requirements, the weight of a foldable tire can be 200-300g lighter than a normal tire of the same model, and the front and rear wheels combined are about half a kilogram lighter! Merritt Option folding Tire's already popular "Slide Wall" patented tire sidewall design prevents side friction resistance and strengthens the tire sidewall strength to prevent damage. Now with the addition of a lightweight Kevlar inner layer, it is even more powerful.
